My Scam Story by Arber Ismaili, Upcoming Apprentice at HSBC

“Hello everyone, hope you all are doing well, so here is my scam story and how I got scammed by someone.

So I originally reached out to this person through phone for a massage service that I wanted and they asked to pay an upfront fee so I thought to myself some people do ask for that so I decided to pay the fee and then they kept asking for more fees as well so I thought why not as I thought that I was gonna get a good service where they wanted for travel etc.

But on the day the person didn't even show up at all and I tried calling and texting but no one ever showed up and I felt really confused and I realised then that I got scammed and it was not a great feeling at all and I didn't really know what to do at all as I had given over £500 pounds to this individual as I thought that i would be getting a good service.

So that was a lesson I had to learn and I did feel embarrassed and ashamed for a while but I realised that scammers are getting smarter about how they do things and it does tend to happen as it is not always just a dodgy email or a suspicious link it can be carefully crafted as well and we need to be open and not judge others at all based on it.”
